i live in Holland and want a spare part . i cant find it however . its from the pressure cooker you show in the video with point 1,2,3,4. etc withe the yellow controls / nippels. i am very enthousiastic about this cooker but cant find an adress to order this rubber band in the lid. can you help me?
I have been using my 6-quart Fagor pressure cooker for a few weeks now. It is an excellent product. Go to the library and check out pressure cooker cookbooks and you'll learn what you like and don't like quickly. The handles on my Fagor do not seem cheap to me. In fact, it is a beautiful item. Be sure to only put the bottom half in the dishwasher, handwash the lid.
I bought an 8-quart Duo a few weeks ago. And so I gotta tell ya that the handles on these Fagor pressure cookers don't strike me as safe. The plastic seems very brittle and cheap. And while I've been very careful, there is one lady that posted at Amazon (in a review) saying that she was carrying a hot load in the one she had and that it broke!
I'd serious consider looking into perhaps spending a little more money to have the peace of mind.
I have a Fagor that is over ten years old, I see from this video they have upgraded the valve on it. I mainly use mine for cooking Beef Stew and stuffed Artichokes. It does a good job of tenderizing tough vegetables and beef.
these are the best
