Have you been using Prestige? I've been pc'ing nearly 40 years, and I have never heard anything good about this Indian brand. If you want an Indian cooker, get a Hawkins.
I've used Pressure Cookers for 45 years, so I seriously doubt I'm doing it wrong. The cooker that replaced this one is perfect. I think there was a manufacturing defect in the weight.
All you needed to do is turn down the element. The hawkins probably had different pressure levels where this one doesnt. However I have owned one of these for many years and loved it. These particular prestige pots havent really changed in design and function much over probably the last 80 years! And theres been a few meals cooked in them successfully since.
I did resolve it: I bought the Hawkins Classic Aluminum 3.0 Litre Pressure Cooker and it works perfectly. I much prefer the design of the lid and O ring gasket also. I highly recommend it.
Recently, i have bought a new pressure cooker but i'm glad i didn't choose that one though cos i saw that one in the shop but instead i picked up the Tefal. It's a bit expensive but it works well. Which i'm very happy with it. I'm sorry to see your new pressure cooker you have a problem with it :(

Then you shoud return it,undoubtedly. I have a stainless steel cooker, and it's great
ReplyDeleteIt IS... if you dont have to spend an hour cleaning up the mess your pressure cooker made.
ReplyDeleteLol I thought, the end result, the actual meal, was the whole idea?
ReplyDeleteIt was about half full, with only about 1 1/2 inches of water. How the meal was is immaterial.
ReplyDeleteOh no is it too full? What was the meal like eventually
