Such as the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's.
They tell me their shoes, clothes and jewelery were of much better quality and that furinture and appliences lasted much longer than they do now.
ps - My grandmother still has a hair dryer that she brought in 1947 and my grandfather still has shoes he got in 1956.
