  1. The real questions you should ask yourself are... what kind of cook are you? Do you like to set everything and walk away or do you like to have fine control? Do you prepare lots of shot-cooking vegetables or longer-cooking stews and chilis?

    The problem with most electrics, except one that I know of, is that thei have a removable insert that is coated with a non-stick coating. Also, most are not as powerful (i.e. fast) as stove top pressure cookers.

    But their advantage are integrated timers, scheduling options and no need to regulate the heat when the cooker reaches pressure.

    Definitely stay away from aluminum cookers- they dent easily, and you are limited to the kinds of foods you can cook in it -aluminum is reactive so that means no fruits, tomatoes, lemons, wine, vinegar ect. No acidic foods.
