Electric Pressure Cooker Float Valve Explained
I made this video to explain a little about the pressure cooker lid works. It tells about the weight and the float valve. I hope this video helps.

  1. Just turn it off and hit the pressure relief. It will open as soon as pressure is off. It wont blow up, most the old ones blew up because of operator difficulty, but these pots do it automatic so they are very safe.

  2. God man this is too complicated. My wife is in the bed and there is a damn roast cooking in one of these stupid clam shells and I just wanna open it but I'm afraid it's going to blow up. So I'm searching on youtube how to properly get in this thing and I can't figure it out. I'm hungry!

  5. I would make sure everything is very clean and moving freely. Next I would check and make sure all seals ,on valve and lid gasket, are soft and not hard or cracking. It takes pressure to close it so if it leaks any where it will not build enough pressure to close.Would be what I would check on first. And is the pot still reaching full temp.

  6. Great video. My floating valve looks just like the one in the video. Any idea why it won't pop up when there is pressure in the pot. Mine just let's steam out the entire time and never let's the pressure build up high enough. Thanks for any help you can provide.

  10. Great video! I am using pressure cooker tonight for the first time and I actually thought my float valve was missing because some of the pictures online show a red ball float. Mine looks exactly like the one you have there. Thanks for easing my mind about this new-to-me appliance :)

  12. Your video was a life saver! I used my pressure cooker tonight (the exact model you're demonstrating). Halfway through the cooking process, F4 showed up on the display. I released the pressure & took off the lid. A little plastic donut & a silver pin fell on the counter. I had no idea what it was or where it fit on the lid. Thanks to your video, my cooker is up & running again!! Thank you!
