  5. I demand a plan, let's do universal background checks on everyone who buys a pressure cooker and also let's ban ''assault cookers.'' Call your local politician, tell them you want change, tell them not to forget that those criminals could have been stopped from buying those ''assault cookers'' if only we had psych checks and waiting periods, but most of all a ban on ''assault cookers.'' Demand a plan, take action, let's put an end to ''assault cooker violence.''

  8. I have noticed Media Outlets, tell people oh its easy to make a pressure cooker bomb. Then they disclose the tactics and procedures on police stuff and so on.

The media, including internet is just going to get more people killed. But you cant block the internet.

  14. Amusing that this woman goes on and on about the thick disc on the bottom, and that Fagor obviously doesn't have a full width disc. What the woman neglects to say, also, is that with an aluminum cooker one just uses a stainless insert bowl. I have one for my aluminum Hawkins. Hawkins is the world's large producer of cookers and they are much more reasonably priced. And yes, I've loved pressure cooking for 30+ years. But fun video anyway.

  15. Yes, but check the instructions. For example, the Fagor one states: NOTE TO ELECTRIC STOVE USERS
Since the coils on an electric stove retain
heat for a long time, food often becomes
overcooked when the burner is turned
down for simmering (when cooking time
is started). To compensate for that, you
    have two options:
more detail than can be posted here

  17. You can see the ratings by going to the cooksillustrated site and searching for pressure cookers, the Presto 8-Quart Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker rates well.
