  1. I cook ham and beans in the crock pot. I put it in before work and dinner is ready when I get home.

  2. How much time to you have to cook the beans? And there are so many ways to fix beans.

Little time and need them fast, use a pressure cooker. Lots of time, use a slow cooker. And don't forget, you can bake them in a casserole or a dutch oven.

  3. I like our electric pressure cooker. It cooks fast and once set it is automatic.

  4. Pressure cooker. It will preserve the flavor, color, and texture better than the rest, when cooked properly. Be sure to presoak dry beans and rinse, however, to help improve the consistency, texture, and to reduce the cooking time.

  5. I would say the pressure cooker is what you want...The best choice I think is slow cooking...I go for flavor..which I get by cooking the beans long and slow.....I usually cook in a dutch oven...On occasion the crock pot......................

Edited...to add...beans have no flavor........you add that by the spices and meat you use......

    Good luck !!!

  6. pressure cooker is fastest to cook the beans, slow cooker is best flavor.

the nutrients do not waft away with the steam!! they are in the liquid left on the beans!!

which is best to cook in is up to you and your time constraints as to when you wish to serve the beans.
